At Stanfort Academy, we recognise the importance of the personal data you entrust to us. Therefore, we are committed to managing, protecting, and processing them in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) of Singapore.

1.0 Introduction
We are intended to inform you of how the school collects, uses, discloses, and processes your personal data.
Under PDPA, personal data is defined as information, whether true or not, about an individual who can be identified from that data; or from that data and other information to which the school has or is likely to have access.
It applies to all individuals whose personal data is in our data management system, including students, alumni, staff, agents, applicants, and other stakeholders. By submitting and interacting with us, you agree and consent to the terms of this statement.

2.0 Personal Data We Collect
Depending on the nature of your interaction with the school, we may collect a variety of personal data, including but not limited to:

  • Name, NRIC/FIN/Passport number, date of birth, and nationality.
  • Residential address, email address, and telephone numbers.
  • Academic and professional records and employment history.
  • Financial Information such as bank account details for fee payments, bursaries, or payroll.
  • Photographs and CCTV footage captured within campus premises to safeguard the safety of the school community.

3.0 Purposes for Collection, Use and Disclosure
The school and its University partners collect, use, and disclose your personal data in connection with the products or services which you have applied for, but not limited to:

  • General admission of your enrolment to the programmes for student records.
  • Facilitate examinations and graduation.
  • Provide student services including pastoral care, library services, financial aids or scholarships.
  • Meet and comply with internal audits, regulatory reporting to SkillsFuture Singapore or other statutory bodies.
  • Send official notices, emergency alerts and school updates.
  • Notify of upcoming events, seminars, and networking opportunities.
  • Disclose your records to the parent(s) or guardian(s) at their request.
  • Submit your information to third-party agents, such as insurance service providers engaged by the school for insurance coverage.

4.0 Accuracy and Security
We take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal data we collect about you is accurate and complete. At any time, if you wish to update your personal data, you may submit your request in writing or via email to our Student Services Officer.
We have implemented stringent administrative, physical and technical measures to protect your data from unauthorised access or loss. The school continues to invest in resources such as up-to-date antivirus protection, encryption and privacy filters to secure all storage and transmission of personal data.

5.0 Retention of Data
Personal data will be retained only for as long as the purpose for which it was collected remains valid. The school will dispose your personal data when it is no longer serves the purpose for which the personal data was collected or it is no longer necessary for legal and business retention standards in Singapore.

6.0 Withdrawal of Consent
You may withdraw your consent and request that the school not use and disclose your personal data by emailing the Data Protection Officer. Please note that withdrawing consent may result in the school being unable to continue providing services or maintaining your enrolment.
