- AC7070SR – Fundamentals of CSR and Sustainability:
This module introduces students to the principles and practices of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability. It explores key issues such as ethical corporate behaviour, stakeholder relationships, global CSR practices, sustainable development goals (SDGs), and the impact of CSR on financial performance. Students will learn to evaluate CSR policies, interpret CSR reports, and understand the link between business and society. The aim is to prepare future managers to embed CSR strategies into business operations effectively. - AC7071SR – International Financial Reporting:
This module provides students with a comprehensive understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). It covers the conceptual framework for financial reporting, the importance of regulation, and the preparation of financial statements for individual companies and corporate groups. The module also teaches students how to apply accounting standards to real-world situations, analyse financial reports, and interpret financial data to support decision-making. Topics include property, leases, revenue, tax, impairment, and consolidated financial statements. - AC7072SR – Audit and Assurance:
The module equips students with knowledge of the audit process and assurance engagements, focusing on planning, execution, and reporting. It covers regulatory and ethical considerations, audit risk, audit evidence, and reporting standards. Students will develop critical thinking, professional judgement, and communication skills while examining contemporary issues in auditing. The course also explores how the audit profession is evolving and what that means for quality and public trust in financial reporting. - AC7073SR – Advanced Financial Management:
This module focuses on high-level financial decision-making and strategies for international organisations. It includes topics such as capital budgeting, financial planning, sources of finance, mergers and acquisitions, business valuations, and risk management. Students learn to advise senior management by analysing strategic financial issues, evaluating investment decisions, and applying advanced financial tools. It also covers governance, stakeholder management, and the link between finance and business strategy. - FE7P64SR – Dissertation
This module enables students to independently conduct in-depth research on a topic relevant to their course. Students design and carry out a research project using qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods. They develop skills in critical thinking, data analysis, and academic writing, producing a 10,000-word dissertation. The aim is to investigate real-world problems, contribute to academic theory or practice, and show the ability to manage a substantial project from start to finish. - FE7052SR – International Corporate Finance
This module examines corporate finance from a global perspective. Students explore the international financial environment, exchange rates, global financial markets, and cross-border investment strategies. Topics include currency risk management, international sources of finance, capital structure, multinational capital budgeting, and working capital management. The course prepares students to evaluate financial decisions made by multinational firms and understand the strategic financial challenges in an international setting. - FE7066SR – Data Analysis for Global Business
This module teaches students how to collect, process, and analyse data relevant to global business decisions. It introduces statistical and econometric techniques, such as regression analysis, time series forecasting, and panel data modelling. Students learn to use tools like Excel, EViews, or Stata to perform data analysis. The focus is on turning raw data into actionable insights to support evidence-based business strategies, especially in areas like finance, marketing, and international trade.

Marking and grades:
Each component of assessed work is assigned a percentage mark with a pass/fail threshold at 50%. Overall average mark obtained for all modules and the dissertation, with classification thresholds for each grade of award as follows:
- 70% and above: Distinction
- 60% – 69%: Merit
- 50% – 59%: Pass
- 0% – 49%: Fail
AWARD TITLES:
At postgraduate level degrees are awarded according to the overall average mark obtained for all modules and the dissertation, with classification thresholds for each grade of award as follows:
• 70% and above Masters degree with Distinction
• 60% – 69.99% Masters degree with Merit
• 50% – 59.99% Masters degree
• 0% – 49.99% Fail
At the end of each semester, module results and awards are confirmed by Assessment Boards (Subject Standards Boards and Awards Boards). Assessment Boards uphold the academic standards of your course and ensure that each student is treated fairly and equally through the assessment process.
